Who We Are
Civil Society Sopore (KMR) is a registered, non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political voluntary organisation established to promote civic responsibility, transparency, and social harmony in Sopore and its surrounding areas.
The organisation serves as an independent civic platform bringing together professionals, academicians, social workers, youth, and concerned citizens to collectively address social challenges through awareness, dialogue, advocacy, and constructive engagement.
Civil Society Sopore strictly maintains political neutrality and derives its strength from public trust, ethical conduct, and institutional credibility.

Organisational Structure
Core Group
The Core Group is the highest decision-making body of Civil Society Sopore. It is responsible for strategic planning, policy formulation, and the overall direction of the organisation.
The Core Group primarily consists of founding members and comprises twenty (20) members, extendable up to thirty (30) members, if required.
Executive Members
Executive Members form the second tier of the organisation and are selected from the General Council.
They actively participate in planning, implementation, and administration of programmes and hold voting rights within the organisation.
General Council
The General Council represents the broader membership of Civil Society Sopore.
Any individual wishing to join the organisation is enrolled as a General Council member and may participate in organisational activities and initiatives.
